About The Position

The Area Supervisor assists with supervising the overall operation of assigned facilities to ensure they are properly cleaned, maintained, and staffed to meet customer requirements. The role also supports effective relationships with customers, building contacts, employees, and the Division Manager.

The supervisor provides leadership and support to ServiceMaster employees, helps coordinate staffing and training, inspects facilities, follows up on cleaning deficiencies, and assists with supplies, equipment, and special cleaning projects. The position requires planning, scheduling, and supervising multiple job sites, as well as addressing staffing and operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day supervision of cleaning at assigned buildings and provide leadership and support to employees.
• Ensure assigned buildings are staffed according to the building budget or staffing plan.
• Meet regularly with building staff and train staff according to account needs.
• Report inspection discrepancies to the Division Manager and follow up to ensure cleaning deficiencies are corrected.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Notify the Division Manager when employees fail to report to work or are consistently late.
• Inspect assigned buildings and complete requested inspection reports.
• Resolve problems when staff are unavailable and arrange to prevent recurring problems.
• Assist the Division Manager in ensuring cleaning supplies, paper products, and equipment are available.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is clean, in good working order, and safe to operate.
• Maintain positive relationships with building contacts and the Division Manager to meet customer needs.
• Recommend additional services that could improve the cleanliness and appearance of assigned buildings.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
