About The Position

Rug Doctor is hiring a full-time Area Service Representative to deliver products and service displays and equipment for established retail accounts. The role follows an assigned route and requires overnight travel for approximately two nights per month, depending on company needs. The representative keeps rental displays clean, stocked, and well maintained at multiple retail locations by inspecting, cleaning, and servicing rental machines. The role may also implement improved processes and procedures as needed.

The Area Service Representative provides friendly, customer-oriented service and represents Rug Doctor’s standards and mission. The position suits someone who can work independently, manage their productivity in a fast-paced environment, and solve problems. The schedule is 38–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with Saturday work as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting or raising up to 50 pounds from ground to higher levels, and manually pushing or pulling up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work in different climates, including hot and cold conditions.
• Ability to drive a vehicle for consecutive hours in a day.
• Available for overnight travel, approximately two nights per month, depending on company needs.
• Available to work full time, 38–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with Saturday work as needed.
• Friendly, with exceptional communication skills and an outgoing personality.
• Customer-service oriented.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Able to work independently and solve problems.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to learn and practice company standards.
• Consent to a criminal background inquiry and non-DOT physical, and ability to complete and pass a drug screen to qualify for employment.
