About The Position

Rug Doctor is hiring a full-time Area Service Representative (ASR) to deliver products and service displays and equipment for established retail accounts. The role works primarily Monday through Friday and involves an assigned route with overnight travel of approximately two nights per month, depending on company needs. Saturday work may be needed.

The ASR keeps rental displays clean, stocked, and well maintained at multiple retail locations. Service stops include inspecting, cleaning, and servicing rental machines. The representative may also implement improved processes and procedures as needed. The role requires providing friendly, confident, safety-conscious customer service in a manner consistent with Rug Doctor’s mission, while managing productivity independently in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must meet the stated physical and driving requirements. Employment consideration requires candidate consent to a criminal background inquiry and a non-DOT physical, and successful completion of a drug screen.

Requirements

• Available for overnight travel, approximately two nights per month, depending on company needs.
• Willing to learn and practice company standards.
• Friendly, with exceptional communication skills and an outgoing personality.
• Customer-service oriented.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Able to work independently and solve problems.
• Basic computer skills.
• Available to work full time, 38–40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday; Saturdays as needed.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to bend, stoop, and kneel; lift or raise up to 50 pounds from the ground to higher levels; and manually push or pull up to 75 pounds.
• Able to work in different climates, including hot and cold conditions.
• Able to drive a vehicle for consecutive hours during the day.
• Consent to a criminal background inquiry and non-DOT physical, and successful completion of a drug screen, are required for employment consideration.
