About The Position

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for visiting an average of 5-10 dealerships per week to sign new dealerships, grow application counts with existing dealerships, and capture approved contracts. The role involves reviewing deals with dealer partners, structuring them to fit the program, and acting as a consultant to F&I Managers to maximize profitability through the sale of UAC products. The Area Sales Manager will also collaborate with Credit Analysts and Funders to ensure loan approvals and fast funding, work with the Dealer Compliance team to resolve market issues, and build and maintain dealer relationships by following up on approved loan applications. Providing best-in-class customer service to dealer customers is a key aspect of this role. This is a field-based position requiring daily operation of a motor vehicle within an assigned territory, typically within a 60-mile radius.

Requirements

  • This is a field-based role; the employee is expected to be on-site at dealer locations throughout the workday within an assigned territory (typically within a 60-mile radius).
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance are required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work Saturdays as needed out in the field.
  • 2-5 years previous experience in a challenging sales role with a proven track record of success.
  • Previous experience in Auto Finance sales and underwriting or dealership experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Candidates should be comfortable drafting professional emails and navigating internal systems, including CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with common office applications (e.g. Word or Google Workspace) sufficient.
  • This position requires the employee to operate a motor vehicle daily within an assigned territory.
  • The employee regularly drives to and between dealer locations, walks dealership floors, and stands during in-person presentations and client meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Sub-prime auto finance experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sign new dealerships, grow the application count with existing dealerships and capture approved contracts.
  • Review deals with your dealer partners and help them to structure or restructure as needed to fit the program.
  • Act as a consultant/partner to F&I Managers to ensure maximum profitability for dealerships through the sale of UAC products.
  • Work closely with your assigned Credit Analyst and Funder to ensure loan approvals and fast funding.
  • Work with the Dealer Compliance team in resolving issues within your market.
  • Build and maintain dealer relationships and follow up on approved Loan Application.
  • Provide best-in-class customer service to your dealer customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
