About The Position

Western Funding, a dynamic and fast-growing auto finance company, is seeking individuals with the vision and dedication to assist dealer partners throughout North America. As a subsidiary of Westlake Financial Services, Western Funding provides automobile financing to borrowers with limited access to traditional credit. The Area Sales Manager will play a crucial role in helping dealers sell more cars and trucks by financing more customers. This is a full-time position reporting to Regional Sales Managers, with candidates expected to be based in the US and comfortable working remotely and on the road. New hire training is provided to ensure success in the role, equipping individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills. The External Sales Team fosters a positive and supportive environment to help overcome sales barriers.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Automotive, Finance, and Sales.
• Previous experience in the Financial Services Sector or within a Car Dealership.
• 1-2 years of previous experience in a challenging sales role with a proven track record of success.
• Clear and effective presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of warm calling, appointment setting, and sales techniques.
• Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology.
• Results Orientation: ability to get things done in alignment with Company objectives.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Comfortable traveling up to 75% of the time.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Nice To Haves

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Present and communicate company products and services to all levels of management within Independent and Franchise Dealerships in person.
• Identify sales prospects and contact assigned accounts.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from telephone calls for Independent and Franchise dealers.
• Develop, maintain, and grow current and potential dealer partners within the Independent and Franchise Dealer communities.
• Maintain constant and effective communication, via phone calls or in person, with dealer partners on current programs.
• Train dealers on Western Funding programs, including proper documentation needed for fast funding of contracts.
