About The Position

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for visiting dealerships to sign new clients, grow application counts with existing dealerships, and capture approved contracts. This role involves reviewing deals with dealer partners to help them structure or restructure as needed to fit the program. The Area Sales Manager will act as a consultant and partner to F&I Managers to ensure maximum profitability for dealerships through the sale of UAC products. They will also work closely with assigned Credit Analysts and Funders to ensure loan approvals and fast funding, and collaborate with the Dealer Compliance team to resolve issues within their market. Building and maintaining dealer relationships, following up on approved loan applications, and providing best-in-class customer service to dealer customers are key aspects of this role. This is a field-based position requiring the employee to be on-site at dealer locations throughout the workday within an assigned territory, typically within a 60-mile radius. The role requires the ability to work Saturdays as needed.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance are required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work Saturdays as needed out in the field
  • 2-5 years previous experience in a challenging sales role with a proven track record of success
  • Previous experience in Auto Finance sales and underwriting or dealership experience
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Candidates should be comfortable drafting professional emails and navigating internal systems, including CRM systems
  • Familiarity with common office applications (e.g. Word or Google Workspace) sufficient
  • The employee regularly drives to and between dealer locations, walks dealership floors, and stands during in-person presentations and client meetings

  • Sub-prime auto finance experience is highly preferred
