About The Position

With your contribution as Area Sales Manager (m/f/d) Europe for our inspection portfolio, you will play a key role in the success of our company: You will be responsible for the sales of our inspection portfolio within a defined European region and ensure the achievement of agreed revenue targets. You will manage and coordinate the entire sales cycle from initial inquiry to contract closing. With a strategic mindset, you will implement sales plans and proactively identify market opportunities and growth potential. Acquiring new customers within the target region and maintaining relationships with existing customers are core responsibilities. You will systematically qualify sales opportunities, prepare offers, and ensure the clear definition of technical and commercial requirements. You will work closely with the technical sales team and support teams in Japan. You will maintain opportunities in the CRM system and regularly report on the status of your pipeline. In addition, you will support trade fairs and sales events and provide market and customer feedback to product management.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in a technical or business-related field (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering).
  • Several years of professional experience in the sales of capital goods, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical technology industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Strong technical understanding to interpret equipment specifications and customer requirements.
  • Confident in using MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Willing to travel within Europe (approximately 40–60%, depending on demand).
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across a large sales territory.
  • High level of professionalism, customer orientation, and commercial awareness.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inspection systems or (pharmaceutical) process and filling equipment.
  • Additional language skills such as German.
