About The Position

The Area Manager will have overall management and budgetary responsibility for all injection, core prep, and NDT operations in the front end of operations. This role involves managing new employee training, maintaining a safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with EHS requirements. The Area Manager is responsible for adherence to process control procedures, operating instructions, and quality control instructions, as well as driving improvements in manufacturing methods, productivity, and quality. This position requires coordination with Human Resources for staffing and personnel deployment, planning and executing daily manufacturing schedules, and directing efforts to solve problems, improve quality, and reduce scrap. The Area Manager will also focus on increasing labor utilization and reducing costs, fostering a team environment, and motivating employees through professional conduct. Collaboration with internal support organizations such as engineering, maintenance, 6S, and quality is essential. The role operates within a three-shift facility and may include other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing Operations
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Manufacturing Direct Supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Investment Casting industry preferred
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Overall management and budgetary responsibility for all injection, core prep and NDT operations in the front end of operations
  • Manage new employee training and coordinate with Training Supervisor
  • Maintain a safe working environment and assure compliance with all EHS requirements
  • Ensure adherence to process control procedures, operating instructions, and all quality control instructions
  • Responsible for manufacturing methods improvement, productivity improvements and quality/scrap improvements
  • Coordination with Human Resources the staffing and personnel deployment decisions
  • Plan and execute daily manufacturing schedule for schedule compliance
  • Coordinate efforts of Supervisors and Department Leads to solve problems, improve quality, and reduce scrap
  • Direct efforts to increase labor utilization and reduce costs
  • Ensures a team environment and motivates employees by maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner
  • Interaction with Mold Masters internal support organizations (i.e. engineering, maintenance, 6S & quality) in connection with departmental initiatives
  • Manage operations within a three shift facility
  • Other duties as assigned
