About The Position

Clean Team Inc. is seeking a motivated Area Manager to oversee commercial cleaning operations throughout the Grand Rapids area. This full-time leadership position is ideal for candidates with experience in janitorial services, custodial management, facilities operations, commercial cleaning supervision, or multi-site operations management. The Area Manager will oversee multiple commercial client accounts, lead janitorial teams, maintain service quality standards, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction across several facilities.

Requirements

2+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred
Experience in commercial cleaning, facilities management, environmental services, hospitality, or related industries preferred
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required
Dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-service focused

Responsibilities

Supervise janitorial and custodial employees across multiple facilities
Conduct site inspections and quality assurance evaluations
Ensure commercial cleaning services meet company and client expectations
Train, coach, and support cleaning staff on safety procedures and productivity standards
Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and labor management
Address employee performance, attendance, and disciplinary matters as needed
Build strong client relationships through professional communication and responsiveness
Monitor operational performance, retention, and service quality metrics
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
Travel between customer locations throughout the Grand Rapids service area
