Area Manager
About The Position
Clean Team is hiring a Janitorial Area Manager to direct evening operations across assigned customer sites in the Flint area and nearby communities. This role exists to keep service quality consistent, teams supported, and accounts running efficiently. You'll start your shift (Monday-Friday, 4pm-midnight) by reviewing the night's priorities and any customer notes, then head out to check in with sites across Flint and surrounding areas such as Clio, Davison, Fenton, Grand Blanc, Lapeer, Marlette, and N. Branch. Throughout the evening you'll balance quick site visits, short huddles with your team, and follow-ups on open items so nothing slips. As the night closes, you'll confirm locations are set up for the next shift, document key updates, and reset your plan for the week ahead.
Requirements
- Proven leadership in janitorial, facilities, or service operations
- Strong organization, time management, and follow-through
- Ability to plan resources, delegate effectively, and work independently
- Customer-focused approach and comfort solving issues on-site
Responsibilities
- Overseeing cleaning quality and customer satisfaction
- Coaching Supervisors and Cleaning Associates
- Managing labor and supply spend
- Identifying training needs and retaining top performers
- Delivering product and keeping locations properly stocked
- Coordinating clear communication with leadership
- Organizing nightly/weekly priorities
- Reviewing the night's priorities and any customer notes
- Checking in with sites
- Balancing quick site visits, short huddles with your team, and follow-ups on open items
- Confirming locations are set up for the next shift
