This role is responsible for managing the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the upkeep and functionality of warehouse equipment such as material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air compressors, and ammonia refrigeration equipment. The position also involves overseeing general building repairs and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, and DOT standards related to maintenance operations. The Area Manager will implement the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. They will monitor and manage the productivity of their area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports, and maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures. The role involves identifying and resolving associate, customer, and supplier concerns, and supervising and developing associates and leaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs. The Area Manager will also manage assigned financial aspects, monitoring expenses and capital expenditures against budget, and tracking asset utilization.
