About The Position

The Area Director of Central PA is a hands-on leader who bridges club operations and sales. The role ensures systems are followed, staff are coached, and members receive a consistent, high-quality experience. The Area Director mentors performance, maintains high standards, develops club leaders, monitors business results, and supports club-by-club growth. The position involves travel of up to 90% and may require stepping into the role of an absent manager to drive team performance.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience leading multi-unit teams in fitness, hospitality, or retail, with proven results.
Mastery of membership sales, customer relationship management systems, personal training program integration, and field coaching.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 90%.

Responsibilities

Embed the Crunch Sales System across clubs and audit appointment setting, tours, follow-ups, and appointment execution weekly.
Coach General Managers, Personal Training Managers, Assistant General Managers, and Member Service Representatives on sales, urgency, and retention.
Recognize strong performance and address performance gaps in real time.
Conduct club walkthroughs and assess readiness, uniform compliance, front desk service, and cleanliness.
Reinforce operational systems and standard operating procedures, coaching through deviations with mentorship and clarity.
Develop club leaders through shadowing, one-on-ones, goal alignment, and individual growth plans.
Review daily key performance indicator dashboards, identify trends and performance gaps, and create measurable, time-bound action plans.
Drive team energy through contests, recognition, whiteboards, and leaderboards.
Step into the role of an absent manager and drive team performance.
Support community outreach and business relationship building; review lead sources and event execution, follow-up, and return on investment.
Submit weekly summaries to the Vice President, including insights, pivots, and red flags, and provide coaching logs, development updates, and club visit recaps.
Help design regional contests, sales blitzes, and campaign launches, and propose staffing changes when performance or morale requires it.
