The Dorian, Autograph Collection and Element Calgary Downtown are seeking a visionary Director of Sales to drive revenue strategy, elevate market presence, and lead a high performing team. Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years Director of Sales & Marketing leadership experience within Marriott-branded or comparable upscale/luxury hotel environments.
  • Proven multi-property or cluster sales leadership experience beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of the Calgary's corporate, association, group and SMERF markets.
  • Demonstrated success driving RevPAR, ADR growth, and market share gains.
  • Experience positioning distinct brands within one geographic market (luxury, select-service, extended stay) etc., with a focus of growing a new brand in market.
  • Advanced understanding of Marriott systems (CI/TY, MarRFP, MGS, GSS, STAR reporting)
  • Strategic revenue generation and market segmentation expertise.
  • Strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, pace analysis etc).
  • Proven leadership in building and retaining high-performing sales leaders.
  • Corporate account acquisition and key account management expertise.
  • Digital marketing literacy (SEO, paid media, reputation management, social strategy).
  • Exceptional communication and ownership presentation skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making with a strong understanding of competitive set dynamics.
  • Executive presence with the ability to represent ownership and brand confidently

  • Deliver the highest quality of service to our customers at all times.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business in both new and existing markets.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and business partners.
  • Guide sales and marketing efforts, including advertising, public relations, and administrative reporting.
  • Lead sales initiatives in alignment with the property's Marketing Plan.
  • Understand and monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Analyze financial and market data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Organize, prioritize, and document work to meet key business deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a unified and consistent customer experience.
