About The Position

Richemont, a global leader in luxury, seeks an Area Director for its Northeast region. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of Cartier's boutiques, which are more than just points of sale but also spaces for building client relationships and creating exceptional experiences. The Area Director will lead multiple boutiques, inspire leaders, elevate teams, strengthen client relationships, and drive the commercial success of the Maison. Collaborating with the Regional AVP and cross-functional teams, this role bridges strategy and execution, uniting people, ideas, and innovation to achieve outstanding results for clients, teams, and the business.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience, ideally within luxury retail or hospitality.
  • Proven success leading multiple locations with P&L responsibility and delivering sustainable commercial growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, build high-performing teams, and develop strong succession pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of luxury retail, clienteling, omnichannel strategy, and operational excellence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • Flexibility to travel and work retail hours, including weekends and client events, as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across multiple boutiques, fostering an environment where commercial performance, operational excellence, and exceptional client experiences are integrated.
  • Identify opportunities to increase market share, enhance client relationships, and elevate clienteling and omnichannel experiences, ensuring boutiques consistently reflect Cartier's standards and spirit.
  • Coach and develop Boutique Directors, build leadership capabilities, champion succession planning, and create growth opportunities for talent within Cartier and Richemont.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Champion hospitality, service, clienteling, and omnichannel experiences that are distinctly Cartier.
  • Understand clients, market dynamics, and emerging trends to continuously improve the client experience and contribute to regional strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted ambassador for the Maison, building partnerships across boutiques, Regional Leadership, Corporate functions, and Richemont.
  • Represent Cartier within the luxury community and connect people, ideas, and opportunities to enhance collaboration and create value beyond the immediate market.
