About The Position

ITV is seeking colleagues to support the relocation of approximately 100,000 archive tape and film assets within its archive vaults in Leeds. This hands-on role involves retrieving assets from archive shelving, transporting them safely to new locations using pallet trucks and trolleys, and scanning or booking them into the system to maintain accurate inventory records. The role also includes producing daily progress reports to monitor project milestones, track targets, and highlight operational issues. The positions are on site Monday to Friday and are offered as six-month fixed-term contracts.

Requirements

• Able to relocate large amounts of film and tape assets.
• Good understanding of databases and archive systems.
• Awareness and working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety policies and practices.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Clear understanding of the role and tasks involved.
• Close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Able to manage own workload with minimal supervision.
• Competent in decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Relocate physical tape and film assets as part of a vaults relocation project.
• Retrieve assets from archive shelving and safely transport them to new locations using pallet trucks and trolleys.
• Update asset locations and physical asset data.
• Label and barcode assets.
• Accession assets into archive systems and scan or book them into the system.
• Produce daily progress reports to monitor milestones, targets, and operational issues.
• Adhere strictly to Health and Safety requirements and other archive policies.
• Continuously improve processes and best practices.
