About The Position

The Architectural Construction Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of architectural scope across transit stations and associated facilities as part of a major rail infrastructure project delivered by Trillium Rail Partners (TRP). This role oversees all architectural construction activities including interior and exterior finishes, building envelope systems, passenger areas, back-of-house spaces, and ancillary structures, ensuring high-quality execution aligned with design intent, operational requirements, and passenger experience standards. Working within a complex design-build environment, the role leads coordination between architectural design teams, construction teams, and MEP/rail systems stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery from construction through commissioning and handover.

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience (10+ years preferred) managing architectural construction scope on large infrastructure or building projects.
  • Experience delivering complex stations, public facilities, or high-profile architectural environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of design-build and/or P3 project delivery models.
  • Experience managing finishes-heavy scopes and multiple subcontractors.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Deep understanding of architectural materials, detailing, and installation practices.
  • Ability to coordinate complex interfaces between architectural scope and building systems.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and commercial management capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and documentation systems (e.g., MS Office, Bluebeam, BIM tools).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle delivery of architectural scope across one or more stations or facilities, from construction through commissioning and handover.
  • Manage and mentor a team of coordinators, superintendents, and field staff responsible for architectural works.
  • Ensure alignment of architectural construction activities with overall project schedule and milestones.
  • Oversee construction of architectural elements including: Interior finishes (walls, ceilings, flooring, glazing, millwork), Exterior façade and cladding systems, Roofing and waterproofing systems, Doors, frames, hardware, and access control interfaces, Passenger-facing areas and circulation spaces.
  • Ensure architectural works meet durability, maintainability, and passenger experience requirements.
  • Coordinate architectural scope with: Structural works (interfaces with building envelope and supports), Mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, lighting, fire life safety, etc.), Rail systems and station operational requirements.
  • Ensure alignment between architectural finishes and embedded systems (e.g., lighting, communications, signage).
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of architectural construction activities.
  • Conduct site inspections, mock-up reviews, and coordination meetings.
  • Manage sequencing and installation in constrained station environments.
  • Resolve field issues, deficiencies, and constructability challenges.
  • Develop and manage schedules, budgets, and forecasts for architectural scope.
  • Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule performance.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, performance, and contractual compliance.
  • Review and manage change orders, variations, and claims related to architectural works.
  • Ensure architectural works comply with building codes, accessibility standards, fire/life safety requirements, and project specifications.
  • Enforce quality control processes including inspections, mock-ups, and material approvals.
  • Promote safe work practices across all architectural construction activities.
  • Support integration of architectural scope during testing and commissioning phases.
  • Oversee completion of deficiencies, punch lists, and close-out activities.
  • Ensure preparation and delivery of as-built drawings, finishes schedules, and O&M manuals.
  • Support readiness for station handover and revenue service.
  • Interface with designers, consultants, project partners, and stakeholders.
  • Support coordination with authorities having jurisdiction and client representatives.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations related to architectural finishes and public-facing elements.
