About The Position

Syntax is seeking a Principal Presales Solution Architect with deep expertise in Supply Chain Management, Distribution, and Warehouse Management within Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Management environments. This is a highly strategic leadership role combining presales solution architecture, strategic consulting, product management, and consulting leadership. Reporting to the Chief Architect, this individual will serve as the principal enterprise-wide Oracle Supply Chain Management solutions expert. The role will also maintain a functional relationship with the Global VP of Supply Chain Consulting and the SVP of Oracle Services to ensure close alignment between solution strategy, consulting execution, and go-to-market initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses a rare combination of: Hands-on experience in supply chain operations and strategy; Hands-on leadership experience as a project or team lead in supply chain transformation initiatives; Deep functional expertise in Oracle SCM, Distribution, and Warehouse Management processes; Ability to define roadmaps, implementation plans, organizational change management plans, and presales strategies for enterprise clients. This role will support strategic sales opportunities, advise clients on their transformation programs, participate in consulting engagements as needed, and coordinate product management for professional services and managed services (AMS) offerings related to Oracle SCM. Ultimately, this position could evolve into a Practice Director role with team management responsibilities.

Requirements

Over 15 years of experience in supply chain, distribution, warehouse management, and related operational functions.
Significant experience in supply chain operations and strategy.
Experience as a project or team lead in transformation programs.
Deep expertise in: Supply Chain Management, Distribution, Warehouse Management, Inventory Management and Order Fulfillment, Logistics Coordination, Operational Process Optimization.
Strong background with Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM.
Ability to translate business needs into software requirements, functional designs, solution architectures, and transformation plans.
Demonstrated experience in creating strategic roadmaps, project plans, and change management plans.
Experience in presales, solution architecture, or enterprise transformation consulting.
Experience in solution design, fit-gap analysis, configuration planning, integration, and RFP support.
Demonstrated experience in at least five global deployments.
Excellent executive communication, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills.
Ability to navigate effectively in a matrixed and multi-disciplinary environment.
Availability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations, or related field.

Responsibilities

Act as the principal functional and presales solution architect for Oracle SCM opportunities, including: Oracle E-Business Suite SCM, Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM, Distribution Operations, Warehouse Management and Operations, Inventory Management, Order Fulfillment, Logistics, and related processes.
Lead solution design activities for strategic Oracle SCM initiatives, ensuring recommendations align with client business objectives, operating models, and target architecture.
Collaborate with sales, delivery teams, and leadership to support strategic opportunities, RFPs, proposals, presentations, and client workshops.
Facilitate discovery workshops to understand current state processes, operational challenges, organizational maturity, and transformation objectives.
Conduct fit-gap analyses to assess business needs, process maturity, Oracle application fit, required extensions, and transformation priorities.
Translate business priorities and operational requirements into: Solution vision, Target process designs, Phased transformation roadmaps, Implementation strategies, Strategic recommendations.
Develop and present compelling executive value propositions linking business outcomes to Oracle solution capabilities and Syntax services.
Support the preparation of RFPs, proposals, estimates, assumptions, and positioning strategies for Oracle SCM opportunities.
Act as the principal enterprise expert for supply chain, planning, execution, distribution, warehouse management, and order fulfillment processes.
Provide expert advice on best practices related to: Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Receiving, Picking, Packing, and Shipping, Order Fulfillment, Distribution Processes, Logistics Coordination, Supply Chain Operating Models, Process Standardization.
Translate business needs into application capabilities, functional designs, and software requirements for Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM.
Assist clients in defining their future state operating models and transformation priorities.
Advise clients on application fit, process alignment, and design decisions in hybrid Oracle EBS and Fusion environments.
Develop functional roadmaps aligned with client business objectives and organizational maturity.
Develop realistic project plans incorporating dependencies, governance, and risk management.
Design or guide change management plans to support adoption of new processes, roles, technologies, and KPIs.
Provide strategic advice based on hands-on experience leading global projects and deployments.
Participate in or lead consulting engagements requiring high-level functional and architectural oversight.
Advise teams on configuration strategies, solution governance, and functional design decisions.
Collaborate with technical and integration teams to define integration requirements with related enterprise systems, warehouse technologies, logistics platforms, reporting tools, and third-party applications.
Coordinate Syntax's Oracle SCM offering management for: Professional services projects, Application Managed Services (AMS).
Define service offerings, delivery approaches, accelerators, methodologies, documentation, and commercial models.
Collaborate with consulting services leadership, product management, and executive leadership to align Oracle SCM offerings with Syntax's strategy and market needs.
Ensure consistency in solution positioning and messaging across professional and managed services.
Contribute to the planning of Oracle SCM services roadmaps, including automation, advanced analytics, and generative AI initiatives.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of generative AI concepts and applications within the Oracle SCM ecosystem.
Identify opportunities where generative AI can enhance planning, operational support, productivity, exception management, knowledge discovery, and solution adoption.
Collaborate with architecture, sales, consulting, AMS, and executive teams.
Act as a mentor to colleagues on presales, business process architecture, and Oracle SCM best practices.
Liaise with Oracle leadership and supply chain consulting leaders to ensure global alignment.
Advise teams on business strategies, delivery risks, and transformation plans.
Represent Syntax to executive clients and strategic partners.
