We are looking for a technically skilled, design-driven Project Architect to join their Multi-Family team in San Diego, CA. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to take ownership of complex projects and contribute meaningfully to a studio that values both craft and community. This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at their San Diego office.

Requirements

  • Meaningful experience driving both technical and design development across a range of project types.

  • Leadership skills that support, encourage, and elevate early‑career professionals.
  • High proficiency in Revit/BIM and SketchUp.
  • Strong multi‑tasking abilities and comfort managing multiple deadlines at once.
  • Licensed and registered Architect in the state of California.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience in multifamily housing projects is required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB‑accredited program.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions (no visa sponsorship available for this role).

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on architectural assignments for moderate to complex projects, bringing strong design sensibility and technical rigor.
  • Analyze design, planning, and layout options to support project goals and client needs.
  • Gather and evaluate relevant data, translating insights into clear, actionable design decisions.
  • Provide architectural support from Schematic Design through permitting and Construction Administration, ensuring work meets quality standards and project requirements.
  • Direct and oversee the production of design and construction documents, maintaining alignment with codes, budgets, and overall design intent.
  • Mentor and support project team members, offering technical guidance and helping them grow professionally.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients, consultants, the Project Manager, and the internal team to ensure a smooth project experience.
