About The Position

Nimble Gravity is a data, AI, and digital engineering consultancy that designs and delivers AI applications on client data. The Architect, Snowflake Cortex will design, build, and optimize production applications using Snowflake Cortex, from initial architecture through delivery. The role combines data architecture, application development, governance, performance and cost optimization, and client-facing technical leadership.

The architect will create trustworthy data foundations for AI applications, including pipelines, semantic models, and unstructured-data processing. They will develop with Python, SQL, Snowpark, and Streamlit; integrate external APIs, applications, and LLM providers where appropriate; and apply security and governance practices. They will work with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, explain technical trade-offs, and keep pace with Snowflake's evolving AI capabilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a data or AI architect or senior engineer, including hands-on work with Snowflake.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in Snowpark.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake Cortex, or comparable hands-on experience with LLM-based applications and a clear plan to ramp up quickly.
• Familiarity with RAG, semantic search, text-to-SQL, and agentic patterns.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ELT/ETL, and orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, or similar.
• Strong understanding of Snowflake security and governance, including RBAC, masking, row access policies, and data sharing.
• Experience with CI/CD, APIs, and cloud fundamentals on Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Nice To Haves

• SnowPro Core or Advanced certification.
• Experience with Streamlit, Snowflake Native Apps, or Cortex Fine-tuning.
• Background in data science, machine learning, or formal engineering training.
• Experience integrating Snowflake with other AI platforms, including Claude.
• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI applications on Snowflake using Cortex AI functions, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, Cortex Agents, and Snowflake Intelligence.
• Develop data pipelines, semantic models, and unstructured-data processing, including Document AI, to support trustworthy AI results.
• Build applications using Python, SQL, Snowpark, and Streamlit, and integrate external APIs, applications, and LLM providers as needed.
• Apply role-based access control, data masking, and governance to make applications secure, resilient, and compliant.
• Tune warehouses, models, and queries, and make consumption-based costs predictable for clients.
• Lead client architecture sessions, demonstrations, and workshops; advise clients on approaches and trade-offs.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and application developers to deliver end-to-end outcomes.
• Track Snowflake's AI roadmap and develop reusable patterns for the team.
