About The Position

Kadant Carmanah Design, a division of Kadant Canada Corp., is seeking a well-rounded individual for its finance department as an AR/AP Administrator. This role involves day-to-day accounting tasks and departmental support to ensure financial documents are maintained accurately. The successful candidate will gain exposure to the accounting practices of a publicly traded corporation and receive mentorship from Chartered Professional Accountants.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of accounting concepts
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Team building and organizing
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Epicor or other ERP experience is an added asset

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Accounts Receivable
  • Apply payments to customer accounts
  • Process bank transfers and adjustments
  • Issue customer shipment and deposit Invoices
  • Assist with Accounts Payable
  • Process vendor invoices
  • Assist with weekly payment run (wire, cheque, EFT)
  • Ad-Hoc analysis
  • Special projects from the Senior Accountant and management
  • Complete CRA monthly and quarterly surveys
  • Assist with departmental administrative tasks
  • Record retention
