About The Position

Under the general direction of the Aquatic Supervisor, the Assistant Aquatic Manager trains and leads lifeguards and recreation program staff in the operation of the Municipality of Anchorage aquatic facilities including all pools and waterfront lakes. As the principal lead, oversee the safety of all utilizing the aquatic venue and lifeguard programs. Instruct all levels of water safety and first aid classes; maintain and monitor pools/facilities, maintain operation of equipment, cashier duties, generate reports and maintain facility records. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and three (3) years of experience in facilitation of a recreational program.
OR Associates degree in Physical Education, Recreational Sports, or a related discipline and one (1) year of experience in facilitation of a recreational program.
OR Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Recreational Sports, or a related discipline and experience in facilitation of a recreational program.
American Red Cross First Aid Certification (age appropriate) at time of hire.
American Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) age appropriate at time of hire.
