About The Position

At Boar’s Head Resort, the Aqua Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service in a dynamic, outdoor poolside environment. This role combines craft beverage knowledge with elevated guest service to create a memorable and relaxing experience for every guest.
The ideal candidate is energetic, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality setting while maintaining a polished, professional presence.

Requirements

• Previous bartending experience preferred, ideally in a high-volume or resort setting
• Knowledge of standard drink recipes and cocktail preparation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, guest-focused attitude with attention to detail
• Must meet minimum age requirements for serving alcohol (per Virginia law)
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak season hours

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with resort standards
• Provide attentive and personalized service to poolside guests and servers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area at all times
• Ensure accurate order taking and timely delivery of beverages
• Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with all laws and policies
• Monitor guest consumption and maintain a safe, enjoyable environment
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup and breakdown of bar operations
• Communicate effectively with Aqua Servers, Runners, and leadership to ensure seamless service
• Uphold all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in an outdoor environment
