About The Position

The Seasonal Bartender will engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and responding to inquiries to enhance guest satisfaction. Additionally, this role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, managing inventory, and adhering to all safety and legal regulations related to alcohol service. Ultimately, the Seasonal Bartender contributes to the overall success of the establishment by fostering a welcoming atmosphere and supporting smooth bar operations during busy seasons.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age as required by law for alcohol service in the United States.
  • Previous experience as a bartender or in a customer service role within the hospitality industry.
  • Basic knowledge of drink recipes and bartending techniques.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced bar or restaurant environment during peak seasons.
  • Knowledge of craft cocktails and mixology trends.
  • Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately.
  • Multilingual skills to better serve a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences.
  • Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, including taking orders, making recommendations, and addressing any concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware, restocking supplies, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, reporting shortages or discrepancies to management promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations related to alcohol service, including checking identification to verify legal drinking age.
