About The Position

Our Bartenders take pride in their food, wine and spirit knowledge. Bartenders help create an exceptional and unique guest experience through engaging interaction and quality service in our upscale dining outlets. They display natural showmanship, passion for whisky, local spirits and wine, have great communication skills and an eye for detail.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience bartending in an upscale high-volume establishment
  • Valid Serving It Right certificate
  • Must be available to work evening shifts, holidays and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Squirrel and OpenTable an asset
  • WSET or similar an asset
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to think outside the box
  • A passion for the industry and meeting new people
  • Organizational skills, ability to multi-task and anticipate guest needs
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Create a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to the sequence of service
  • Have full and complete knowledge of all food and beverage menus and recipes in order to make thoughtful recommendations and meet service standards
  • Answer any guest questions about food, beverages, wines in an informative, professional, and helpful way
  • Assist all guests with any inquiries or requests in a pleasant and helpful manner
  • Communicate to guests regarding all restaurant and Resort special events and activities through daily standups and internal communication
  • Ensure guests are satisfied with their food, beverage and service
  • Be aware of any special requests, inclusive of guest allergies
  • Promptly receive drink order chits and pour all beverages according to Eldorado Resort standards, ensuring complete accuracy of recipes
  • Demonstrate integrity at all times
  • Communicate all service requirements to team members in a courteous and efficient way
  • Be aware of all cash handling and cash-out procedures, and all methods of payment
  • Ensure accuracy when entering orders into the POS system, following all policies and procedures
  • Perform all opening, side, and closing duties, as well as weekly duties to company standards
  • Understand how to correctly operate all the restaurant equipment while protecting all company assets
  • Proactively stock and maintain all bar products
  • Maintain an immaculate, organized, and safe bar area
  • Other duties as assigned or required
