This role involves managing calibration schedules, ensuring measurement equipment is maintained and calibrated, tracking KPIs, managing asset tracking, generating reports, troubleshooting equipment, coordinating with external calibration vendors, managing document control systems, executing technical validation of documents, maintaining master data integrity, auditing production standards, managing non-conformities, performing layered process audits, facilitating continuous improvement activities, processing customer returns, and executing SAP transactions for inventory management. The position also involves data analysis for operational reporting and managing customer scorecards.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in production / Quality Control
  • Understanding of Standards - IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 17025, NIST traceability, Automotive Core Tools
  • Data Analysis Experience in a similar line of work
  • Basic Knowledge of Google sheets and / or Excel, Gmail, Word
  • Equipment experience with calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, and scales
  • Understanding of change management
  • Basic GD&T knowledge
  • Manage SAP transactions (Inventory, Scrap, WIP, Material on Hold)

Responsibilities

  • Perform small gauge calibrations to ensure they meet standards.
  • Set up new gauges.
  • Manage the calibration schedule to ensure no late calibrations.
  • Ensure measurement equipment is maintained in good condition, calibrated, and re-calibrated according to schedule.
  • Track Past due / completed calibration KPIs.
  • Manage asset tracking based on the calibration database.
  • Communicate to all teams due and past due calibration dates on all measurement and test equipment.
  • Generate technical dashboards and reports for past-due/completed calibrations to ensure measurement system reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs on equipment.
  • Manage the outsourcing of equipment that cannot be calibrated in-house, ensuring external labs meet necessary quality standards.
  • Audit documents to the standard / customer requirements and issue approvals or rejections within electronic workstations (EWS), VQMS, and core tools database.
  • Manage document change control for line processes in accordance with standards.
  • Execute technical validation of pending engineering and production documents within the EWS / VQMS / core tools database.
  • Ensure strict adherence to versioning protocols to prevent the use of obsolete documents or specifications.
  • Maintain and synchronize Google master lists and distribution matrices to ensure real-time access to the latest technical specifications.
  • Notify and distribute updated documentation to appropriate team members.
  • Audit the standards (e.g., OK start, work instructions, visual inspection standard, parameter setting records, magic square) displayed and used in production and notify the corresponding supervisor/engineer of any non-conformities.
  • Perform internal audits of production standards, including work instructions, visual inspection standards, and parameter setting records.
  • Identify, document, and escalate discrepancies to engineering/supervisory staff.
  • Perform root cause analysis and manage corrective actions (CAPA) through closure.
  • Conduct weekly EASE audits and support StEDE (standardized work) assessments.
  • Facilitate 5 Axes activities and participate in Hoshin Kanri data management and KPI scorecard reporting.
  • Perform any other internal audits allowing to detect and highlight discrepancies vs. the standard.
  • Process customer returns (RMA/RRAR); receive parts and confirm incidents related to the RMA and communicate to Quality Engineers.
  • Manage the "Red Cage" (non-conforming material) area.
  • Execute SAP transactions for inventory management, including scrap, WIP, and material on hold.
  • Process customer credits for returned goods.
  • Open and analyze all returns.
  • Contact the QE owner of the product.
  • Fill out the RRAR log, recording the parts received.
  • Match list of customer debits with parts received / RMA.
  • Maintain weekly charts for the Plant QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) and QCDM boards.
  • Generate monthly part sales reports utilizing SAP data extracts to calculate monthly CLI.
  • Manage Customer Score Cards / Update Hoshin Kanri site every Monday.
