This role is crucial in supporting the APU (Automotive Production Unit) in achieving its quality objectives and ensuring adherence to standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience required.
  • Knowledge of the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) process.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Quality field preferred.
  • 3 years in Production preferred.
  • 3 years in the automotive industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate QRQC (Quality Review with Customer) in the QIM database, participate in containment actions, and validate their robustness.
  • Support APU Managers and Site Managers in analyzing issues assigned in QRQC activities.
  • Update APU quality tracking charts, including Customer Returns and Cost of Non-Quality.
  • Perform line audits to identify non-compliance with standards and collaborate with the APU to implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in the resolution of customer issues and non-quality problems.
  • Ensure adherence to rules during APU QRQC meetings, including 'Stop at first disagree' and 'Stop at first no' principles.
  • Revise the control plan following an issue.
  • Verify adherence to the 4M matrix (Man, Machine, Method, Material) for product or process changes and ensure customer awareness and approval.
  • Update quality documents after process-related changes.
  • Verify continuous process conformance to produce products that meet specifications, in accordance with control plans (e.g., machine capability, yearly product audits).
  • Has the authority to stop a manufacturing/assembly line if standards are not respected or if a safety or quality risk is detected for operators or customers, or following a LLC Stability audit demonstrating less than 100% compliance.
  • Represent the customer on quality matters, including communication and escalation.
  • Manage PD (Problem Diagnosis), CA (Corrective Action), and closure for Internal Suppliers incidents (in case of APU Quality Leader position, report to this position and do not supersede APU Quality Leader and Site Quality Manager authority).
