About The Position

Fowler Kia of Longmont is searching for an Apprentice Service Advisor. This role requires someone who is comfortable greeting customers, scheduling appointments, shuttling vehicles, and acting as a liaison between customers and service technicians. The ideal candidate can make customers feel welcome and confident that their needs are being met.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
MVR acceptable to our Insurance Carrier
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Responsibilities

Schedules service appointments.
Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
Greets service department customers promptly and courteously.
Calls to schedule special order parts appointments.
Schedules and files claims for glass claims.
Operates customer shuttle and performs Service Porter duties for moving and locating service vehicles as needed.
Develops skills as an advisor and works Saturday business.
Assists with writing shop purchase orders and used car repair orders.
Writes up customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
Test drives the vehicle with customer as needed to confirm the problem or refers to test technician.
Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.
Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
Reports any customer concerns to Service Manager.
