About The Position

Warby Parker is seeking an Apprentice Optician to join its in-house optical team and help customers find eyewear that meets their needs. The apprentice will learn from a mentor who is a licensed optician in licensed states or a certified optician in non-licensed states. The role involves developing technical optical skills, product and prescription knowledge, and customer-service expertise while representing Warby Parker’s brand, values, and mission. The position is for a new store opening at The Shoppes at English Village.

Responsibilities

Work with an optical mentor to learn how to meet customers’ eyewear needs.
Learn to take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear accurately.
Learn to verify that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customers’ requirements and requests.
Develop the ability to explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
Work with the team to provide exceptional customer service.
Learn to help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription needs, fit, personal style, and lifestyle.
Collaborate with the team to develop sales and customer-service best practices that can be implemented throughout the organization.
Represent the Warby Parker brand and educate others about its values and mission.
