About The Position

Warby Parker is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Optician to join its in-house optical team and help customers find eyewear that meets their needs. The role provides hands-on training with a mentor who is a licensed optician in licensed states or a certified optician in non-licensed states. The apprentice learns optical skills, product knowledge, and customer service while representing the Warby Parker brand and its mission.

Responsibilities

Work with a mentor to learn how to meet customers’ eyewear needs.
Learn to take and record measurements and accurately adjust and fit eyewear.
Learn to verify that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements and requests.
Develop the expertise to explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
Work with the team to provide exceptional customer service.
Learn to help customers select frames and lenses suited to their prescription needs, fit, personal style, and lifestyle.
Collaborate with the team to develop sales and customer-service best practices that can be implemented across the organization.
Represent the brand and educate others about Warby Parker’s values and mission.
