About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Hydraulic Cylinder Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals looking to build a career in hydraulic repair and heavy equipment service. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the operation, including cylinder teardown, cleaning, inspection, rebuilding, and shop support functions such as shipping and receiving.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude with a strong willingness to learn
Ability to use basic hand and power tools
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop environment
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Nice To Haves

Previous shop, mechanical, or industrial experience is a plus but not required
Detail-oriented and quality-focused

Responsibilities

Assist in disassembly and assembly of hydraulic cylinders of various sizes and applications
Clean, inspect, and prepare components for rebuild and repair
Palletizing parts for shipping.
Learn proper measurement, inspection, and evaluation of cylinder components
Support senior technicians in diagnosing cylinder failures and determining repair scope
Operate shop equipment including parts washers, honing equipment, and basic hand tools
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Assist with shipping and receiving, including unloading, tagging, and staging incoming components
Package completed cylinders and parts for shipment
Follow all safety procedures and company standards
