About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Technician to perform inspection, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, and assembly of hydraulic cylinders used in steel processing and heavy industrial equipment. Someone with hands-on hydraulic repair experience who can identify why a cylinder failed, determine what needs to be repaired or replaced, and rebuild it correctly.
Requirements
- Hands-on hydraulic cylinder repair experience.
- Knowledge of hydraulic components, seals, and common failure modes.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other measuring tools.
- Comfortable working with large, heavy industrial components.
- Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently.

- Overhead crane/forklift experience
- Machining or welding
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild hydraulic cylinders.
- Identify seal, rod, piston, gland, scoring, wear, contamination, and alignment issues.
- Measure rods, barrels, pistons, glands, and other components.
- Install seals, wear bands, wipers, and related components.
- Assist with pressure testing and leak checks.
- Document inspection findings and repair recommendations.
- Work with machinists, welders, QC, and assembly personnel.
- Follow all safety procedures when handling heavy components, cranes, and hydraulic equipment.
