About The Position

Chipotle’s Apprentice General Managers assist with the day-to-day operation of a restaurant while developing the skills needed to become a General Manager. The role involves leading restaurant operations, hiring and training team members, and delivering an excellent guest experience. Apprentices learn to manage business operations including scheduling, profit and loss, sales forecasting, recruiting, and interviewing. The position has a standard 50-hour workweek, with applicable overtime paid, and includes evening and weekend shifts.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk around the restaurant for 10 hours a day, lift 50 lbs./25 kgs., and perform other physical activities necessary for the job.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen, around varied temperatures, and prepare and taste food.
• Strong communication with Chipotle team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Uphold high standards of hospitality and provide a guest-focused experience.
• Act as the leader on duty, ensuring speed of service, order accuracy, and positive guest experiences.
• Train and develop crew members using Chipotle’s training tools and resources.
• Ensure digital orders are delivered accurately and on time.
• Learn and manage day-to-day restaurant operations, including scheduling, profit and loss management, sales forecasting, recruiting, and interviewing.
• Keep the dining room clean and the restaurant guest-ready.
• Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards.
