About The Position

Chipotle’s Apprentice General Managers assist with the day-to-day operations of a restaurant while developing the skills needed to become a General Manager. The role involves leading restaurant operations, developing team members, and delivering a positive guest experience while upholding food safety, operational, and compliance standards. Apprentices work a standard 50-hour workweek, including evening and weekend shifts, with applicable overtime paid.

Requirements

• A passion for hospitality and providing an excellent guest experience.
• A friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
• A desire to grow and learn the General Manager role.
• Genuine enthusiasm for developing people and leading others.
• Ability to work a standard 50-hour workweek, including evening and weekend shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk around the restaurant for 10 hours a day and lift 50 pounds/25 kilograms.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen, interact with customers, work around varied temperatures, taste and prepare food, and communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Nice To Haves

• Previous restaurant management experience, including scheduling, profit and loss management, food safety, sales forecasting, and recruiting.

Responsibilities

• Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest service.
• Act as the leader on duty and ensure speed of service, order accuracy, and a positive guest experience.
• Train and develop crew members using Chipotle’s training tools and resources.
• Ensure digital orders are accurate and delivered on time.
• Learn and help manage day-to-day restaurant operations, including scheduling, profit and loss management, sales forecasting, recruiting, and interviewing.
• Keep the dining room clean and the restaurant guest-ready.
• Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards.
