Apprentice Fish Cutter (27, Pupukea)
About The Position
Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is a locally owned and operated company with over 75 years of history in Hawaii. This is a part-time position (24+ hours per week) where evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred. Candidates with open availability will be prioritized. As a Fish Cutter, you will be responsible for ensuring seafood cases are well-stocked, receiving, preparing, and merchandising seafood products, managing inventory, assisting customers, and driving sales through product recommendations and samples.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/or carry up to 75 pounds
- Must successfully pass apprentice/training program (applies to apprentice only)
- Must have TB Clearance
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
Nice To Haves
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the seafood cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality seafood products for our customers
- Receive, stock, cut, prepare, wrap, weigh, price, and attractively merchandise seafood department products
- Proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste
- Attend the service case
- Assist customers with special requests, and answer questions about our seafood products
- Help increase sales by offering product samples and by recommending additional items
