About The Position

This is a part-time position (24+ hours) where evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred. Candidates with open availability will be prioritized. Meat Cutters are responsible for maintaining well-stocked meat cases with fresh, high-quality products. This includes receiving, stocking, cutting, grinding, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat and poultry. They also manage inventory control and product rotation to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Additionally, they assist customers with special requests and answer questions about meat products and services. Meat cutters utilize equipment such as meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Must successfully pass apprentice / training program.
Must have TB Clearance.
Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Responsibilities

Ensuring meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products.
Receiving, stocking, cutting, grinding, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat department products.
Ordering and stocking prepackaged deli items and frozen food products within the meat department.
Ensuring proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize freshness and minimize waste.
Assisting customers with special requests and answering questions about meat products and services.
