About The Position

Apprentice - Creative Repair is a role where you will restore damaged surfaces in apartments, hotels, commercial buildings, and residential properties. Every repair is different, giving you the opportunity to use creativity and craftsmanship every day. As a Surface Repair Technician, you'll restore damaged surfaces in apartments, hotels, commercial buildings, and residential properties. We restore cabinets, countertops, bathtubs, floors, appliances, furniture, elevator panels, and many other surfaces. Our repairs save customers time and money while reducing unnecessary waste sent to landfills. By combining skilled craftsmanship with proprietary products and processes, we deliver durable, high-quality repairs that customers appreciate. Surface Experts is an all-inclusive surface repair service provider. We repair small damage to surfaces like Floors, Countertops, Bathtubs, Cabinets, Appliances, Furniture, Elevator Panels … Almost Everything!. We pride ourselves in our ability to provide incredibly fast service, while maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere in our support center and on jobsites. We combine old school skill sets with new technology and products, resulting in a durable and appealing repair all provided with a smile. Most repairs are simple and smaller than a dinner plate, yet our competition focuses on complete resurfacing. Our objective is a happy customer and a long-term relationship. We focus on saving our customers time, money and wasted materials that end up in a landfill. Our typical repair requires only 1 to 2 tablespoons of product so our technicians can carry their entire set of tools and equipment in a small vehicle. Our approach is clean and free of odors in less than two hours.

Requirements

Experience performing hands-on or manual work
Ability to accurately identify and match colors
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to lift and carry equipment as needed
Strong communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

People with backgrounds in painting, woodworking, sculpting, automotive refinishing, construction, manufacturing, facilities maintenance, or other hands-on trades often excel in this role.

Responsibilities

Complete Repairs in the Field
Perform 4 or more repairs per day at customer locations
Repair a variety of hard surfaces, including cabinets, countertops, floors, appliances, furniture, and more
Deliver high-quality repairs that typically take less than two hours to complete
Use creativity and problem-solving to develop repair solutions for each unique situation
Provide Excellent Customer Service
Communicate professionally with customers, tenants, property managers, and site personnel
Keep accurate job notes and updates in company software
Represent the company with a positive, service-focused attitude
