About The Position

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is hiring an Appointment Scheduler for its Adult Medicine division in Fort Myers. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The scheduler handles patient calls and appointments, records patient information in the patient management system, communicates messages, and follows confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

• Experience working in a high-volume call center environment.
• Great attention to detail and ability to record information accurately.
• Ability to develop and maintain good rapport and cooperative working relationships with providers, staff, and patients.
• Ability to handle calls professionally and compassionately.
• Knowledge of insurance, referrals, and eligibility.
• Regular and reliable job attendance.

Nice To Haves

• One year of medical office experience, or a combination of medical education and office experience, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of calls professionally and courteously.
• Obtain patient information needed to schedule appointments, including demographic and insurance information.
• Accurately record information in the patient management system.
• Communicate messages to the appropriate parties.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
