About The Position

The Applications Team Lead works under indirect supervision and oversees multiple application modernization projects for the U.S. Army Product Lead Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services (PL ALTESS). The role manages project delivery, resources, budgets, schedules, customer communications, and development-team improvements.

Requirements

Senior application project management experience using agile development best practices.
Three or more years of experience with Agile development processes and tools.
Three or more years of experience with application Quality Assurance testing.
Three or more years of experience managing budgets and resources across multiple application projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent years of experience managing application development projects.
Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IAVM.

Responsibilities

Gather requirements, estimate Level of Effort (LOE), draft development stories, facilitate backlog reviews and sprint planning meetings, coordinate resources, review QA results, and perform final reviews.
Manage resources across development efforts and provide staffing recommendations for new or expanding projects.
Provide budget reports to track project burn rates and help ensure projects remain within budget.
Manage the master project schedule and reprioritize work to prevent collisions.
Communicate project status directly to customers.
Work with development teams to identify improvement opportunities and gain efficiencies.
