About The Position

The Application Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the application engineering team to support global business development and sales teams in technical applications of Test & Measurement products. The individual in this role will oversee the daily activities of Application Engineers, who review customers’ technical needs and recommend solutions, and inspire a culture of innovation towards new solutions for customers’ challenges.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience in Engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel (up to 25%), both domestic and international
General test and measurement knowledge
Only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 22 CFR §120) may be considered.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Experience with project management and working with remote teams
5+ years of team or project management experience
LabVIEW programming skills and any NI hardware and software experience
3+ years’ experience managing an engineering, application, or technical sales team

Responsibilities

Recruiting, Developing, and Mentoring talent, including development engineers and applications engineers with unique expertise spanning multiple target industries and geographies.
Build and maintain the team’s overall expertise in Emerson Test & Measurement equipment and their applications.
Collaborate with Business Managers, Marketing, Sales & R&D to align the team's execution to growth strategy and short-term business needs.
Engage with sales to drive customer engagements, through mutual understanding and prioritization of efforts, to achieve shared business goals.
Manage ambiguity and drive change management as business strategy evolves.
Drive engineering execution excellence.
Handle special projects or tasks assigned by management.
