About The Position

As an Application Support Analyst for AutoCanada’s Collisions Centres & Hail Department (ACX), you will provide business and systems analysis, requirement gathering, software testing and application support on projects, enhancements and operations related to its information systems. You will succeed in this role if you are an energetic self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will bring strong communications skills and enjoy collaborating with others and applying technology to find creative solutions. Your combination of business acumen and deep technical expertise will ensure the organization continues maturing its IT capabilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working as an Application Support Specialist, Technical Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Related post-secondary education and industry certifications (IT, Computer Science, or related field).
  • Experience developing business requirements, leading workshops, and conducting fit-gap analyses.
  • Experience providing remote support for a geographically distributed organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Quick learner with a demonstrated ability to produce documentation and share knowledge effectively with others.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with automotive operations is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance to staff at ACX regarding software applications, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and user guidance.
  • Liaise with stakeholders from both AutoCanada Home Office and ACX, IM/IT and 3rd parties to gather business requirements and then optimize components within the application suite.
  • Maintain documentation of support activities, including incident logs, resolutions, and knowledge base articles to facilitate efficient problem resolution and knowledge sharing.
  • Work directly with AutoCanada’s Collision Centers to understand and document their existing business processes and functionality.
  • Create business and functional requirements, test cases, and test plans for the implementation of new and existing systems.
  • Propose recommendations and present to management and stakeholders on changes and improvements to system solutions to optimize business processes.
  • Co-ordinate with the Information Management team to ensure systems are configured and optimized for the successful delivery of business intelligence services to ACX staff.
  • Ensure that IT service management and documentation systems are kept up to date.
  • Manage small IT projects to ensure standardization.
  • Be involved in and provide IT expertise for larger initiatives.
  • Some travel may be involved.
