About The Position

ASML US and its affiliates develop, integrate, market, and service lithography machines that enable leading chipmakers to produce smaller, more powerful, and energy-efficient microchips. ASML is headquartered in Veldhoven, Netherlands, and has 18 office locations in the United States.

The Application Software QA Engineer intern will join the software quality assurance team. The role focuses on designing and creating AI-enabled test automation and efficiency optimization to help assure the quality of ASML products. The intern will work with software testing methodologies in a concurrent-computing software architecture environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, applied mathematics, applied physics, or a related field.
• Experience with software testing, quality assurance, or software development.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices and quality engineering methodologies.
• Experience using at least one programming language, such as Python, C++, Java, or shell scripting.
• Experience working in Linux or Unix environments.
• Familiarity with relational databases and client-server software architectures.
• Good understanding of operating systems, relational databases, concurrent computing, client/server architecture, and file system management.
• Very strong understanding of software lifecycle and quality engineering methodology.
• Proficiency in at least one of C/C++, Python, Java, or shell scripting.
• Ability to excel in a cross-functional team environment.
• Good numerical analysis and logical thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive approach and a strong sense of ownership.
