About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Lead Senior Developer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite) with a Global Financial Institution. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The successful candidate will lead the analysis of existing services, applications, and document repositories to develop migration and content mapping strategies and guide the implementation of modernization solutions. While the role includes some hands-on development, the primary focus will be on technical leadership, solution design, system analysis, and coordinating migration activities across multiple applications and teams. This individual will work closely with developers, product owners, and architects to ensure the successful migration of document content from legacy platforms to modern repositories.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot
• 8+ years of experience with IBM Filenet
• 8+ years of experience with MongoDB
• 8+ years of experience with Enterprise application architecture and solution design
• 8+ years of experience with System integration architecture
• 8+ years of experience with Content migration strategies
• 8+ years of experience with Metadata modeling and mapping
• 8+ years of experience with Authentication and authorization (OAuth, SAML, JWT)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Enterprise Content Management
• Knowledge of document indexing and search technologies
• Experience in highly regulated enterprise environments with large-scale document repositories

Responsibilities

• Lead technical analysis of existing content repositories, document management systems, and supporting services
• Design migration strategies for document content, metadata, security models, and integrations
• Define content mapping, transformation, and migration approaches between legacy and target platforms
• Architect scalable content services and APIs that align with enterprise modernization objectives
• Evaluate repository structures, workflows, retention policies, and content lifecycle requirements
• Develop technical design artifacts including architecture diagrams, data mapping specifications, migration runbooks, and implementation plans
• Collaborate with development teams to establish coding standards, migration frameworks, and best practices
• Provide hands-on support for complex coding, proof-of-concepts, and migration tooling when required
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful migration outcomes
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and governance requirements
• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle
