About The Position
Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Java Developer/Lead for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Plano, TX. This senior-level role requires a strong background in the payments domain and extensive experience with the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, hands-on programming with Java and Springboot, and working within a continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline. The position involves coordination between onshore and offshore teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in a Developer/Lead capacity
- Solid computer programming experience with Java/J2EE, SQL, Spring, Springboot, Webservices (REST and SOAP), and HTML
- Experience with DevOps, continuous delivery, and continuous integration
- Knowledge of transaction processing, JaxB, JMS, JDBC, Weblogic, JBOSS, and MQ
- Strong understanding of core Java (streams, files, collections)
- Experience with IBM MQ or Kafka, and Oracle databases
- Familiarity with the Payments Domain, Agile methodologies, and Containers
- Strong technical skills and end-to-end understanding of application architecture
Nice To Haves
- Drools knowledge would be a plus
Responsibilities
- Serve in a Developer/Lead capacity for enterprise applications
- Review requirements and project documentation to understand the application and perform automation feasibility analysis
- Assist with offshore and onshore task coordination
- Work within a DevOps environment focused on continuous delivery and integration
