About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Python / Quartz Developer for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Jersey City, NJ. This role involves working on an end-of-day risk platform, primarily using Python and a proprietary framework. The position also includes project management, tracking progress in Jira, and collaborating with business stakeholders to understand complex requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of strong Python development experience with demonstrable experience of having designed and developed complex server-side components
• Experience working in Financial Services, specifically within markets in front office derivatives risk systems
• Computer science or equivalent degree
• Good understanding of Agile and Lean software development practices and associated tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment liaising with demanding stakeholders
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate problems and solutions
• Experience with Jira

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the proprietary Quartz technology stack
• Pricing and Risk knowledge - structure and pricing of derivative products
• Derivatives Risk domain knowledge (Greeks and Scenarios)
• Equity Derivatives product knowledge (Futures, Options, Convertibles)
