About The Position

The Application Program Manager will be responsible for developing an understanding of the business environment to make informed decisions and drive results for LADOTD modernization. This role involves defining program goals and objectives, developing project plans and schedules, leading cross-functional teams, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with LADOTD and State standards. The position also includes providing day-to-day support for ongoing processes, conducting ongoing evaluation and improvements for processes, and providing data analysis support for the agency’s workload demands. The manager will also be responsible for managing risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies, communicating project status and progress to stakeholders, and collaborating with stakeholders and teams to ensure program and project goals are met. Ensuring compliance with program management processes and standards, and providing ongoing evaluation and improvements for program management processes and practices are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) plus years of experience in Program or project management, preferably application development
  • IT strategy, infrastructure design, and operational support for multi-site organizations
  • Business continuity planning and application migration
  • Application and process modernization
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies

  • Experience with change management and process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and data management technologies

Responsibilities
