Bluefors is seeking an Application Engineer who thrives on building and troubleshooting complex scientific instruments while working closely with researchers. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted technical partner to scientists and engineers in fields such as quantum materials, superconducting devices, cryogenic physics, precision transport, scanning probe systems, and advanced microscopy. You’ll engage directly with customers to understand their experimental goals, identify system-level challenges, and translate those needs into practical wiring and infrastructure solutions aligned with Bluefors’ capabilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on scientific dialogue and lab environments—whether your background is in experimental physics, apparatus development, system integration, or a customer-facing technical role. Experience with cryogenic experiments, vacuum or high-field systems, RF or photonics setups, or complex hardware integration is valuable. Above all, success in this role depends on strong communication skills, technical intuition, and a genuine commitment to helping customers design and implement effective, cutting-edge experimental solutions.
