About The Position

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to provide technical consultation, product advice, and application review for sales opportunities. This role involves supporting customers with product selection, preparing formal proposals, and offering training and on-site support. The engineer will also manage technical complaints, contribute to marketing and product management activities, and maintain strong customer relationships. This position requires extensive travel and a flexible schedule to support global teams and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering/technology field
  • 7-10 years of work experience in application engineering or similar role
  • A self-managed and self-motivated individual with strong ownership and commitment who excels in global team environment
  • Language – fluent spoken and written English, Spanish, Portuguese
  • The willingness and ability to travel extensively
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with great attention to details
  • Customer oriented with problem solving mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Having knowledge/experience of Food & Beverage and Automotive Industry and or conveyor systems is a plus
  • Flexible working schedule, available to support colleagues and customers after regular business hours
  • Strong Communication and Confident presentation skill for medium to large group of customers

Responsibilities

  • Technical evaluation of sales opportunities, reviewing application data and determining lead product suitability and value proposition.
  • Provide customer with assistance for product selection for unique, special, or technical applications.
  • Review customer specifications and determine Regal Rexnord’s ability to meet the requirements.
  • Prepare formal proposals covering the correct application for assigned products for inquiries requiring standard, modified, or special products to meet customer specifications and/or requirements.
  • Provide customers with technical support and (new) product presentations and training at customer locations.
  • Product Identification and Selection, Conveyor Installation support & Conveyor Trouble Shooting (technical and hands-on).
  • Evaluate and deal with technical complaints.
  • Contribute to promotion and advertising activities, trade shows. Conduct employee training and provide content for Engineering literature (engineering manual, data sheets) and tools (calculation program).
  • Evaluate market trends, engagement with marketing team providing advices.
  • Evaluate competition performance, reporting their positioning, product performance and competitiveness.
  • Collect Voice of Customer related to potential product improvements and new products, based on unmet needs.
  • Support the preparation of product launches.
  • Support Product Line Simplification activities.
  • Must establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal/external customers.
  • Provides project coordination and communication.
  • Uses common process management tools and methods including problem solving process.
