About The Position
The Senior Application Engineer is responsible for managing the full product development lifecycle—from design and validation to field support and after-sales troubleshooting. This role ensures engineering solutions meet established standards for quality, cost, delivery, and safety while supporting both internal teams and external customers with technical expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in application engineering or product development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in CAD tools (2D and 3D), preferably Siemens NX
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to perform engineering calculations for product selection and application design
- Knowledge of industrial applications and their impact on product selection and customization
- Familiarity with power transmission systems or similar mechanical product lines preferred
- Understanding of installation, commissioning, and maintenance requirements

Responsibilities
- Lead and support product development activities, including design, testing, validation, and implementation
- Perform technical value analysis for new products, improvements, and customer-specific solutions
- Define standard product costs and contribute to cost forecasting and investment analysis
- Evaluate new materials and suppliers for feasibility and performance
- Conduct testing and validation for new products and incremental design changes
- Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by customers and commercial teams
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to support continuous product improvement
- Provide hands-on technical support at customer sites, including troubleshooting and product optimization
- Support after-sales activities and ensure proper product utilization in real-world applications
- Partner with Sales to provide technical expertise during the sales process and product selection
- Collaborate with Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Work closely with internal engineering teams to improve product performance and development processes
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost/value analysis to support R&D initiatives
- Contribute to process improvements within product development and application engineering
- Support planning, budgeting, and execution of engineering projects
