Application Development Manager
About The Position
The Application Development Manager will lead the application development and platform modernization team within the Information Technology function at Scandinavian Tobacco Group. The role advances software development platforms, eCommerce capabilities, and enterprise integrations, partnering with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, high-performing solutions that support business growth. The position is based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and requires working onsite three days per week. The manager owns platform architecture and integrations across web platforms, ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and other internal applications. The role also leads project delivery and operational support, establishes performance measures, promotes continuous improvement and development governance, and provides leadership and coaching to the team. The annual base salary is listed as “Needs input”; compensation may include short- and/or long-term incentives and other benefits based on position level, location, functional area, and market benchmarks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of IT management experience.
- Significant experience using Jira.
- Minimum of 5 years working as a business or functional analyst supporting the design and delivery of B2C eCommerce websites, or equivalent consulting experience delivering eCommerce engagements for large organizations.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience facilitating discussions and presenting complex information to business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to develop presentations and business value propositions using PowerPoint.
- Ability to work onsite in Bethlehem, PA three days per week.

Responsibilities
- Lead the application development and platform modernization team across project management, requirements definition, functional specification approval, quality assurance, and change management.
- Own platform architecture and integrations between web platforms, ERP systems, WMS solutions, and other internal applications.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to prioritize projects, allocate resources, and guide development efforts.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to plan and deliver strategic projects, operational initiatives, and support activities.
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs, reporting metrics, and performance dashboards.
- Improve customer experience through new features, enhancements, and optimization of platform integrations.
- Coach and lead the team to improve productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, communication, and technical capabilities.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high-quality outcomes.
- Maintain system and data security standards that protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Act as an escalation point for platform operations and support uptime, reliability, and business continuity objectives.
- Promote adherence to industry best practices, development standards, and governance processes.
