About The Position

PPT Solutions is seeking an on-site Application Developer in Huntsville, Alabama. This role requires a strong understanding of software design principles, secure coding practices, and application architecture. The developer will be responsible for interpreting customer or stakeholder requirements and translating them into technical solutions. The position involves maintaining production systems and supporting multiple concurrent projects, requiring the ability to troubleshoot issues across the full application stack (front-end, back-end, database). Familiarity with web hosting platforms like IIS is also expected.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
At least 10 years of relevant experience
Proficiency developing applications using Microsoft .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, .NET Core)
Front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive UI design
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL queries, schema design, and data management
Ability to troubleshoot issues across the full application stack (front-end, back-end, database)
Experience maintaining production systems and supporting multiple concurrent projects
Ability to interpret customer or stakeholder requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Solid understanding of software design principles, secure coding practices, and application architecture
Experience with version control and software deployment workflows
Familiarity with IIS or similar web hosting platforms
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting government, defense, engineering, aviation, or other highly regulated environments
Background in modernizing legacy applications into modern web-based platforms
Knowledge of Visual Basic / VB.NET
Experience with Bootstrap, jQuery, or other modern UI frameworks
Experience building or integrating SharePoint solutions
Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI dashboards and reporting
Exposure to cloud platforms, automation tools, or digital transformation technologies
Experience developing technical training, documentation, or user-adoption materials
Experience presenting technical concepts to executive leadership or cross-functional teams
Understanding of cybersecurity controls, access management, and compliance requirements
Experience leading small projects or functioning as the sole developer for features or applications

Responsibilities
